Did you have a relatable role model in high school who truly motivated you? Or do you remember wishing you had one?
Now, you can be that relatable role model. And all you need is you. Your story—your experiences and memories—has the power to inspire. It is enough and it matters.
Join Motivational March during the week of March 24-28 as one of 100 volunteers* stepping into a high school classroom in East or South LA. For one day, on one panel, you will share your story and raise $100 to support our mission–ensuring students hear stories that remind them their own stories matter.
*Volunteers must be high school graduates to participate.
Deadline to sign up: Thursday, March 13, 2025
If you commit to this opportunity…
You will build confidence in students (and yourself).
You will demonstrate the courage needed to share your story and inspire youth to do the same.
You will connect with other PLUS ME volunteers, hear their stories, and find community.
You will walk away from this experience knowing you made a difference.
And you won’t have to do it alone. We will be with you every step of the way.
How to volunteer:
1. Register and Onboard
Sign up and attend a one-hour virtual onboarding session to craft your personal story and kickstart your fundraising journey.
2. Build and Share
Write and refine your story, practice sharing it, and engage your network to reach your fundraising goal.
3. Motivate and Celebrate
Share your story on a classroom panel and celebrate the impact you’ve made at the Motivational March Mixer on the evening of Friday, March 28.
Each day of Motivational March this year will be dedicated to one school in Los Angeles.
Students had this to say after hearing stories from relatable role models just like you:
“Their stories made us realize there is so much more in life than what meets the eye and there’s always a solution out of our problems.”
“The stories I heard were inspiring because it gave me the courage to not give up and if I have a dream, chase it.”
Your story can remind a student that they are not alone in their struggles and that they are capable of more.
It can take one story to move a student.
And that story could be yours.
