Professional Development
While our work and mission centers on supporting middle and high students, our model also engages adults through various storytelling professional development workshops. Our goal when working with adults is to support them with developing cultures in their workplaces, schools, or homes that feature connection at the core. We do this through our curriculum and engaging adults in self-reflecting, community building, and personal storytelling.
As a community partner, we bring our professional development programs to schools, businesses, and organizations. To learn more or to schedule a workshop, contact us here.
Educators PLUS ME
Our Educators PLUS ME workshops provide the opportunity for teachers, administrators, and support staff to self-reflect and share their stories with one another. This program guides participants in understanding how to build a storytelling culture, increasing staff connections, and providing tools that allow educators to learn how to build stronger rapport with their own students through narrative sharing.
Target Audience: Educators
Time Frame: Up to 2 (90 minute) sessions
Parents PLUS ME
Our Parents PLUS ME workshop series introduces parents and guardians to the power of storytelling. By educating them on the importance of personal narratives and supporting them with developing and articulating their own, parents gain a stronger sense of community and confidence within their voice. The safe space that is created at each school site through our facilitation allows parents to connect and bond over shared experiences. Our program is designed to build parents up and provide them with the tools to own their stories in order to advocate, support, and inspire their communities.
Target Audience: Parents
Time Frame: Up to 5 (60 minute) sessions
